Happy Birthday Scott

Ameridad's spring break from work was this past week and we headed to Carasburg to spend some time. Along with having fun time with Cara and visiting with her parents we celebrated Scott's birthday.

Ameridad took us to Red Lobster picked by the birthday guy for a celebration for Scott and Grandma F, she shares the same birthday. After having a delicious dinner we went back to Scott's for cake, ice cream and presents.

The Beauty Of Winter

. . . finally the work is done. Now we can wait until the next winter storm comes, which is being forecast for tomorrow and Wednesday, and try to remember what warmer weather was like.

More Christmas

A big thank you to Scott, Emily, Cara, Cyndi, and Danilo for the wonderful Xmas present we received from them. They chipped in and with many sleuth hours put in by Scott they were able to locate, purchase, wrap up, and have for us to open as a belated gift.

We have enjoyed trying to prefect our skills playing the many WII games. We have taken photos of us achieving pro status in bowling just to prove that we did it. Ameridad and I have found that as soon as we get our pro bowling score and our fancy bowling ball it is quickley lost in the next few games because of too low of a score. I won't say if I still am a pro bowler at this point but I will say that I miss that pretty ball.

Most of you are probably familiar with the book "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie"; give mouse a cookie, he needs milk, then a napkin etc. The same can be said about giving parents a WII game; you will need a big flat screen tv, a new stand to hold the new tv, new speakers for the audio etc.

What's Up With Grandma?

While watching Cara this last week she and I had a discussion, that we have had before, regarding the floor lamp. The video says it all.

I am sure Cara is wondering why I have a problem with her playing with the lamp.

Forty-one years ago today I married my best friend and the love of my life. Together we have faced the trials and tribulations life has to offer. With each year that has passed us by our love has strengthened and grown. We both look forward to what is ahead of us, knowing that we will be there together forever.

Tea For Two

Getting ready for the tea party.

When Cara visited us last Saturday she found something new in grandma & grandpa's kitchen. Grandpa went into the basement and brought up the table and chairs that Cara's daddy and aunt Cyndi had when they were little; the furniture was given to our children by their Abbott grandparents; Cyndi was a little older than Cara is now.

Knowing that Cara really likes to play pretend, while I was out shopping the day before I bought a Disney tea set for her. She and grandpa decided early Saturday morning that it was time to have a tea party for two.
