Aftermath Of A Storm

The weather in the Midwest over the past few weeks has been not kind with many damaging storms and tornadoes passing through cities. We have been fortunate because where we live the storms have all been passing through to the south of us.

Early in the evening yesterday our county was under a tornado watch, meaning that conditions were right for one to develop. While we experienced strong thunderstorms we were spared the tornado and watched in awe with the beauty nature can bring. In between rain storms the view outside out windows held the most spectacular rainbow.

I hope the other areas affected by the storms passing through were as lucky as us and escaped the damage that the high winds can cause.

Now if we could just find the pot of gold at the end of this rainbow we would be all set for the high life.

On the day I was born,
Said my father, said he.
I've an an elegant legacy
Waitin' for ye,
'Tis a rhyme for your lips
And a song for your heart,
To sing it whenever
The world falls apart.

Look, look
Look to the rainbow.
Follow it over the hill
And the stream.
Look, look
Look to the rainbow.
Follow the fellow
Who follows a dream.
Follow the fellow,
Follow the fellow,
Follow the fellow
Who follows a dream.

'Twas a sumptuous
To bequeath to a child.
Oh the lure of that song
Kept her feet funnin' wild.
For you never grow old
And you never stand still,
With whippoorwills singin'
Beyond the next hill.

Look, look
Look to the rainbow.
Follow it over the hill
And the stream.
Look, look
Look to the rainbow.
Follow the fellow
Who follows a dream.
Follow the fellow,
Follow the fellow,
Follow the fellow
Who follows a dream.....

Loved the photos! Rainbows are wonderful things... just when you think you have found the end, it moves farther away.

We're so glad you were spared a tornado. We hate it when the sirens go off here. The rainbow is beautiful.

Stay safeQ

Cyndi-I laughed when I saw that you posted the song from Finnian's Rainbow. When I saw the rainbow outside our windows last night that song raced through my tired brain.

Jans-We have been lucky with the storms, they have all been heading more sough. Indianapolis has really been getting hit and tonight in the news there was flooding west of the city. Hope thing level out for awhile.

Was hoping all was well in your neck of the woods.
Please keep those tornados away from ya all.
Hope Mother Nature is listening.

Momo-Yes, they are beautiful photos of the rainbow. And you can say that again about Cars being a cutie.

Punkin-Indiana has been hit hard by the storms but lucky for us they have been to the south of us.
