Fall in the Midwest means weather changes, the beauty of the leaves changing color, bright crisp days, pumpkins, apples, fall festivals, and a reason to make apple pies. Each fall Scott treats us to a homemade apple pie served with homemade ice cream. This year Cara helped in the kitchen and she, like her daddy, is a wonderful pie baker. You are all invited to join in as we share some apple pie with you.

Oh, does that look yummy! We are all here for a taste but the pie doesn't look big enough for all 9 of us, 10 if you include Jan. Should we include her?
Nothing like something homemade to remind you of family who can't be there to share it.
You all know how much I LOVE hot apple pie and ice cream! AHHHHH! Well, the apples are also in season here in Italy. In fact, there is a giant box of apples on my terrace right now (Censa picked them). I might just have to make my own apple pie. Of course ours will be topped with GELATO!
Wish I could have been there. Seeing the video of Cara sure makes me homesick. Hope to see you soon and the in the meantime, enjoy that yummy apple pie!
